“Design of non-toxic biodegradable polyurethanes for biomedical applications”
Prof. Marcos Fernandez has a PhD in Polymer Science and is currently Research Scientist and Vice-director at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (CSIC), Madrid, Spain. His research lines have been focused on rubber technology, polymeric membranes for selective gas separation and polyurethanes for advanced applications. Within polyurethanes, his current interests are self-healing materials, polyurethanes based on recycled and/or sustainable monomers and the design of non-toxic biodegradable polyurethanes for biomedical applications.
